Considered to be one of the greatest saxophone players of all time, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley was known for his ability to improvise complex, flowing, melodic solos without ever repeating a line or phrase. The list of artists he performed with reads like a who's who of jazz royalty: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Nancy Wilson, Joe Zawinul and many others.
This collection features a number of solos meticulously transcribed note-by-note from the music of this phenomenal player.
